Bulgaria to Have 2 Representatives in Iran’s Int’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Two seminary students from Bulgaria have been selected to represent the southeastern European country in the 35th International Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

 

According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Bulgaria, Changiz Aliev and Muhammad Haji are the Quran activists who will respectively take part in the Quran recitation and memorization categories of the contest. 

Their names have been introduced to Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization as Bulgarian contenders in the competition. 

The organization will hold the international contest along with four other international Quranic events on April 19 to 26. 

They include the international Quran competition for seminary students, the competitions for women, school students and the visually-impaired as well as a conference on Quranic research studies. 

A Quranic and cultural exhibition will also be mounted on the sidelines of the contests, offering Quranic products, cultural programs and cultural and religious consultations.
