Karbala Hosting Quranic Course for Women
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A summer Quranic course titled “Yanabee’ Al-Rahmah”(springs of mercy) has been organized for women in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq.
The Women Quran Teaching Section of the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbbas (AS) has organized the program, the website of the Astan reported.
According to Fatima Sayyed Abbas Abd Hashim, head of the section, women aged 14 and above have taken the course.
She said it includes lessons on recitation and memorization of the Quran as well as Tafseer (Quran interpretation) and Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence).
She added that there are also recreational and sideline programs for the particpants.
The course is held four days a week, the official went on to say.
