“Plants in the Quran and Prophetic Hadiths” On Display in Qatar

-- An exhibition of plants mentioned in the holy Quran and Hadiths of the holy prophet (PBUH) has been held in Doha, Qatar.
According to Al-Sharq newspaper, the exhibition opened last week welcoming the public until July 5.
The tableaus of Qatar Quranic Garden have been presented to the public providing them with information in the two languages of Arabic and English about their medical and curative powers.
Being first of its kind in Qatar, the Quranic Garden comprises all the plant species mentioned in the Quran, and those in Sunnah (Deeds of the Prophet) and Hadith (sayings of the Prophet). It also exhibits botanical terms mentioned in the Quran, explaining the plants in the the context of modern science.
The Quranic Garden was launched on 17th September 2008, by the Institute of Sciences, Education and Development, featuring the teachings of Quran in connection with present-day botanical understanding. It is considered as a unique research site for scholars and students interested in herbal medicine.
