Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for financial and administrative affairs said 30 billion rials has been allotted for compiling and publishing the Encyclopedia of Imam Reza (AS).
Mohammad Mehdi Fadakar told IQNA’s Khorasan Razavi branch that the Imam Reza (AS) Cultural-art Foundation is tasked with publishing the work.
He noted that the foundation is a non-governmental body that is run independently under the supervision of the culture ministry.
Fadakar added that the three first volumes of the encyclopedia will be published during the next year’s Karamat Ten-day Festivities (marking the days between the birth anniversaries of Imam Reza (AS) and Hazrat Masoumah (SA)).
He further pointed to the annual International Cultural-art Festival of Imam Reza (AS) and said the festival’s programs are held in 80 locations in 40 countries of the world.
The culture ministry official added that the festival’s funds have risen significantly in the past few years, which shows the country’s special attention to this great cultural event.
