During the Ten-day Karamat Celebrations special 50 Quranic sessions are held at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad.
This was announced by Mehdi Lesani, head of the Quranic Sciences Section of the Astan Quds Razavi (custodianship of the holy shrine), while speaking to IQNA’s Razavi province branch.
He said the Imam Khomeini Rawaq (square shaped structure) in the mausoleum hosts the sessions every day from 5:15 P.M. to 7 P.M.
He added that there are other programs held during the ten-day celebrations, including forums titled “Reflections on Quran and the Seerah of the Infallibles (AS)”.
A special program was also held on the occasion of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) birth anniversary (which marks the beginning of the Karamat celebrations), Lesani said.
“Titled Sib-e Behesht (apple of paradise), the program was attended by 300 teenage girls. It was held at the holy mausoleum with the aim of creating a happy Quranic atmosphere and clarifying the Seerah of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).”
He also noted that the 12th Quran and Hadith Sciences Festival of Astan-e Quds Razavi will conclude next week, adding that 5000 individuals took part in the festival in different fields of Quranic sciences.
Celebrations marking the Ten-day Karamat Occasion are being held in 200 cities in different parts of the world.
They have been organized in the ten days between the birth anniversaries of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) and Imam Reza (AS).
