Online Quran Teaching, Oman’s Initiative for Promoting Quranic Culture

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Oman’s Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs has launched the fourth edition of an “Online Quran Teaching” course for the dissemination of Quranic culture.

According to arabstoday.net, Hilal ibn Hamoud Riyami, director of the ministry’s Quranic schools, said the national educational plan has been received very well all over the country over the past three years.

It is expected that 2000 Quran activists will participate in this year’s program, he said.

He added that those willing to attend the online Quran memorization program should sign up by January 25.

Quran memorization, correction of Quran reading and contemplation in the Quran are the main themes of the course.

Oman is an Arab country on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. Virtually all Omanis are Muslims.
