According to al-ofogh news, the program was organized by the Charity Association of Teaching the Holy Quran in Ataq city on May 13.

Ahmad Zubain Atiyah, Yemen’s Minister of Endowments and Guidance, participated in the ceremony.

The program was also attended by Ali ibn Salim Al-Harithi, governor of Shabwah as well as a number of other officials and eminent figures of the province.

Quranic activities are common in Yemen despite an ongoing aggression against the country by a Saudi-led coalition.

Since March 2015, the Saudi regime, together with a coalition of its allies, has been striking Yemen, killing thousands of civilians and destroying the country's infrastructures.
