TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 26th edition of the international Quran competition of Jordan concluded Tuesday night in the capital Amman.

Quran memorizers and reciters from 32 countries attended the competition, which had kicked off at the cultural center of King Abdullah I Mosque in the Jordanian capital on Sunday.

Winners will be announced and awarded at a ceremony on Thursday.

Peyman Ayazi from Iran was among the six memorizers from different counties whose turn for answering questions raised by the panel of judges was on Sunday morning.

He told IQNA later that he was happy with his performance.

The competition’s women section was organized in March.
