According to the committee, a total of 53 Quran experts will serve in the panels in the men’s section.
Among them are both veteran Quranic figures and young Quran experts.
There will be a panel of judges for each of the categories in the final stage of the competition, including Quran recitation, memorization, Adhan (call to prayers) and choral recitation.
The final stage of the competition is slated to get underway in the central city of Arak on October 2.
According to the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, which organizes the contest annually, it will be held in two different sections for men and women.
The men’s section is slated for October 2-8 while women will compete on October 9-14.
Winners will be awarded at the closing ceremony of the contest on October 15.
The names of those who have made it to the final round were released by the organization in August.
Iran’s national Quran competition is annually held with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.
It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.
