Abdul Hafiz Noufal, the Palestinian ambassador to Russia, told the Voice of Palestine radio that “Palestinian-Russian relations are making headway forward in various fields, particularly on the political and economic levels.”
He was referring to the meeting in the central occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, on Monday, of the Palestinian-Russian joint committee, co-chaired by the Palestinian Minister of National Economy, Abeer Odeh, and the Russian Minister of Labor, Maxim Topilin.
Noufal said that the meeting will include Russian government officials from the economy, education, and health ministries, in addition to representatives from the Russian private sector.
Noufal mentioned that an agreement is planned to be signed soon, which would exempt Palestinian products exported to Russia from any customs.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in all fields.
