Quran Memorizers Honored in UAE
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The “Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid” Cultural Center in the United Arab Emirates held a ceremony to honor the students who have memorized the Holy Quran verses.
According to Al-Bayan website, 33 girls and boys who won top ranks at the 13th edition of a Quran memorization contest in Dubai were honored at the ceremony.
Nurma Muhammad Sulaiman, the head of the center, said that the number of children and teenage participants in the Quranic event is rising every year.
The youngest participant in this year’s competition was an 11-year-old from India, he added.
The verse 26 of Surah Al-Mutaffifin which says: “so for this let the competitors compete”, is the title of the annual Quran competition.
