Quran Competition for Iraqi Armed Forces Held in Baghdad
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of the second Quran competition for Iraqi armed forces was held in Baghdad on Monday and Tuesday.
The participants from different units of the Iraqi army, police, Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd al-Shaabi) and other armed forces competed in memorization and recitation of the Quran.
The preliminary stage was organized on Wednesday and Thursday and those who were deemed the best by the panel of judges made it to the final round.
A number of senior Iraqi Quran masters, including Osama al-Karbalayi, Rafi al-Ameri and Abu Muhammad al-Jinabi were among the panel members.
Winners will be announced and awarded later on Tuesday.
