200 Disabled Memorizers of Quran Awarded in Kuwait

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Some 200 disabled girls and boys who have memorized the Quran were honored at the closing ceremony of ‘Abdullah Othman’ Quran competition in Kuwait.

 

According to al-seyassah.com, the third edition of the Quran memorization contest for Kuwaiti disabled children was organized with the participation of 750 girls and boys.

The Abdullah Othman Charity Institute held the competition in cooperation with Kuwait’s Ministry of Education and the country Al-Mutamayyezin Quranic Association.

Zakat House of Kuwait supervised the national Quranic event, which was held in different categories of Quran memorization.

Some of the family members of the late Abdullah Othman who sponsored the competition also attended the closing ceremony.

Addressing the program, Barak Shitan, an organizer of the competition, hailed the achievements of the Kuwaiti children in Quran memorization and the development of the Quranic event in its third edition.

Yusuf Sami’ee, head of the Quranic association, said that the competition was successful in providing an opportunity for this group of people to compete and promote their skills.
