Proper Introduction of Islam in Cyberspace Stressed

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian cultural attaché in Thailand stressed the necessity of presenting a correct image of Islam and Iran in the cyberspace.

 

According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Mahdi Hasankhani discussed the issue in a meeting with a group of translators and cultural figures of the Southeast Asian country.

Development of cultural activities including translation and publication of books and articles about Islam and Iran were the main theme of the meeting.

The participants stressed the need for correcting the misinterpretations and inaccurate beliefs spread about Islam particularly in the cyberspace.

It was underlined that the most important Islamic issues as well as the works by eminent scholars on Islamic and Iranian studies should be translated and published online.
