Iran Representatives in Int’l Quran Contests to Be Honored
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Quran activists representing Iran in international Quran competitions during the current Iranian calendar year (started March 2018) will be honored in a ceremony, an official said.
Head of the Quranic Affairs Center of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini said the ceremony will be held next week on the sidelines of a meeting of the Supreme Council for Coordination of Quran Competition.
He added that organizations helping in Quran contests in the current year will also be commended for their contributions.
Iranian Quran memorizers and reciters attended international Quran competition in various countries this year, including in Malaysia, Iraq, Jordan, Croatia, Russia, the UAE, and Turkey.
Many of them won top ranks in the international events.
