Winners of Manila Quran Competition Announced
The final stage of the competition was organized on January 27 with the participation of representatives from different parts of Manila and Luzon.
The Blue Mosque hosted the Quranic event, held in cooperation with the Iranian Cultural Center in Manila.
Twelve top participants of the preliminary stage competed in two groups of male and female Quran reciters in the final stage.
Hamidin Abie, Omar Guiamlod and Abdolnaser Asgar respectively won the first to the third ranks in the male group.
The three top female participants were Norasia Guiamlod, Norasia Dalmoab and Rohmiya Taha.
Mohammad Ja’fari Malek, the Iranian cultural attaché in Manila, was honored at the awarding ceremony for his efforts in supporting Quranic activities in the Philippines.
