Algerian Official Urges Special Section for Autistic Persons in Quran Schools

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Algerian official called for launching special sections for those with autism and other disabilities in Quran schools in the country’s capital Algiers.

 

Farideh Jibali, deputy head of the Provincial Council of Algiers, said such sections can also be opened in mosques and in schools in other cities and provinces, el-massa website reported.

She also underlined the role of Quran schools in the country’s public education center and said special rules should be passed about running these schools.

Algeria is an Arab country in North Africa. Muslims make up about ninety-nine percent of the country’s population.

Autism is a complex neurobehavioral condition that includes impairments in social interaction and developmental language and communication skills combined with rigid, repetitive behaviors.
