UAE Quran Contest Concludes in Dubai

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The closing ceremony of the 20th edition of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Quran contest was held in Dubai, UAE, on Wednesday.

 

Head of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) Ibrahim Mohamed Bu Melha was among the officials who attended the ceremony, held at the al-Nahda Women Association.

Addressing the event, Ahmed al-Zahed, an official with the organizing committee said 162 men and 264 women took part in this edition of the competition.

He noted that 64 men and 77 women had made it to the final round of the contest.

Winners of different categories were awarded at the closing ceremony.

The competition is annually organized by the DIHQA in February.
