The statement, signed by 162 MPs and released on Tuesday, noted that the competitions were attended by Qaris and Quran memorizers from different countries with the motto of “One Book, One Ummah (community).
It added that the events turned into a great gathering of Quran activists who saw Iran, its people and Establishment for themselves and will convey the truth about the country to their fellow countrymen.
The 36th International Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as international Quran contests for women, visually-impaired, seminary students and school students were organized in Iran on April 10-14 with the participation of Qaris and Quran memorizers from 84 countries.
