Iran Ready to Dispatch Qaris to Bangladesh in Ramadan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Bangladesh announced the Islamic Republic’s readiness to dispatch Quran reciters to the South Asian country in the holy month of Ramadan.

 

 

According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Seyyed Mohammad Mahdi Husseini Faiq, who is in charge of the center, discussed the issue in a meeting with Noor-ol-Islam, deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Islamic Foundation, Maulana Anis Al-Rahman, secretary of the foundation’s cultural section and Maulana Mahmoud, secretary of the foundation’s mosque section.

Speaking at the meeting, Anis Al-Rahman hailed the Iranian support for Palestine and expressed hope that interaction and cooperation between the two countries in cultural and religious fields will expand.

Noor-ol-Islam said that the foundation and the cultural center are in good relations and that their cooperation should be enhanced in different fields.

The Iranian official, for his part, thanked the members of the foundation for their cooperation in holding the preliminary stage of Iran’s international Quran competition in Bangladesh.

He noted that there are many capacities for boosting cultural interactions between the two brotherly countries, including Quranic activities and holding programs on religious occasions.

Noor-ol-Islam also elaborated on the Quranic programs of the foundation for the holy month of Ramadan and said that Bangladeshi Quran reciters are very successful in memorizing the Quran but need more practice in recitation.

The Iranian official then said that the center is ready to invite internationally known Iranian Qaris to Bangladesh for Quran recitation in the holy month.
