Tehran University to Host Conference on Islam, Coexistence
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An international conference on Islam and peaceful coexistence will be held in Tehran later this month.
Titled “Strategic Capacity of Islamic Teachings for Achieving Peaceful Coexistence”, it will be organized at the University of Tehran on June 26.
The university’s Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies will host the event.
‘Foundations, principles and status of peaceful coexistence in Islamic teachings’, ‘manifestations of peaceful coexistence in Islamic history, culture and civilization’, ‘challenges on the way of achieving peaceful coexistence’, and ‘strategies and ways for achieving peaceful coexistence’ are the main themes to be discussed at the conference.
A number of other universities and academic centers will cooperate in organizing the scholarly event.
