Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Khoshkhou, an official with the organizing committee of the conference, welcomed the delegation on Wednesday.
Muhammad Numan al-Azhari, director of Minhaj ul-Quran Institute in Manchester, Hojat-ol-Islam Jafar Ali Najam, a prayer leader from London, and Quran activists Mohammad Saeed al-Rashid al-Baghdadi were among the members of the delegation.
During the visit, they talked about Islam and Shiism in Europe, Britain in particular, extremism and Takfir, and problems facing Muslims and the Islamic world.
They also hailed Iran’s efforts to promote Islamic proximity and countering extremism.
At the end of the visit, they attended congregational Noon prayers at the mosque of Imam Kadhim (AS) Islamic Seminary.
