Quranic Courses for Women Underway in Iraq

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, Iraq, has organized summer Quranic courses for women in different parts of the country.

 

According to Al-Kafeel news website, the Women Section of the Astan’s Dar-ol-Quran Center launched the Quranic plan at the beginning of the summer.

The plan is being implemented for the eighth year in all of the center’s branches in most of the provinces of Iraq including Baghdad, Wasit, Babil, Dhi Qar, Najaf, Karbala, Basra and Diwaniyah.

A branch of the center in the Markazi Province of Iran has also organized the Quranic courses.

Manar Javad Al-Jabouri, head of the Women Section said that the plan is a part of the Quranic activities of the center that aim to help the women make the best use of their summer time and promote the Quranic culture.

Quran reading principles and methods of Quran memorization as well as Islamic jurisprudence, ethics and Islamic beliefs are among the themes of the courses.

The official added that the Quranic plan was received very well last year.
