TEHRAN (IQNA) – With the arrival of Iranian Hajj pilgrims in Medina, members of the country’s Noor Convoy have started holding Quranic sessions and programs for them.

The first such programs were organized at the hotels accommodating Iranian pilgrims in the holy city on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam.

Qaris Hamid Reza Ahmadivafa and Mostafa Qassemi recited verses from the Quran and the Taha religious singing group performed Tawasheeh at the programs.

The first batch of Iranian pilgrims arrived in Medina last week.

Every year millions of Muslims from around the world gather in the holy city of Mecca for the annual Hajj.

Iran also sends pilgrims as well as a groups of Quran activists, known as the Noor Convoy.
