Quran Reading Program for Children Planned in US

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An educational course on Tajweed principles of Quran will be held for children in Alexandria, a city in the US state of Virginia.

 

According to eventbrite.com, the MakeSpace Islamic Institute will organize the course for children aged 5 to 12.

The goal of the Quran program is to teach children how to read the Quran correctly, improve recitation skills, and develop correct reading skills.

The course will include different levels based on the students’ needs.

Participants at the beginners level learn how to read the Arabic Alphabet, connect letters, pronounce letters with harakaat, and memorize some short surahs of the Quran.

At intermediate level the students learn how to form whole words, start to read some verses of the Quran, and basic Tajweed rules.

The students of advanced level revise and practice the tajweed of the Quran and work on improving recitation skills.

The course will be held from July 20 to August 24 on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. local time.
