According to Qaaf news agency, the Khatam-ul-Anbiya hall of the holy shrine hosted the program earlier this week.
Ali Kadhim Sultan, director of the public relations of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine, said that the competition was organized for Iraqi teenagers.
More than 500 girls and boys from different provinces of Iraq competed on Tajweed principles and the meanings and recitation of Surah Al-Insan.
The winners of the competition were awarded in the closing ceremony.
Surah al-Insan is the 76th Surah of the Quran. It has 31 verses.
