Kuwait Holding Nat’l Quran Exam

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A national Quran examination in Kuwait is being held in the Azam Mosque and several other mosques across the country.

 

Those taking the summer Quranic courses organized by the Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry are taking the exam, enferaad.com website reported.

It features the students’ knowledge and skills in Quran recitation, memorization and Tajweed.

The examination started on Sunday, September 8, and will continue until September 17, Nasser al-Kandi, an official with the ministry said.

The courses were organized in Quran memorization centers in different parts of the Arab country, he noted.

Al-Kandi added that the ministry seeks to promote Quran memorization and encourage the youth to read and learn the Holy Book.

Kuwait is an Arab country in Western Asia. Most people in Kuwait are Muslim and it is the official religion of the nation.
