TEHRAN (IQNA) – This year’s edition of Iran’s international Quran competitions will be attended by 631 Quran activists from 82 countries.

The competitions, including the main contest for men, and those for women, visually-impaired, seminary students and school students, are slated for April 10-15.

The Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) will host the main event.

The Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization annually organizes the competition with the participation of Quran memorizers and reciters from various countries.

Last year, nearly 370 foreign guests, including the contenders, Quran experts and members of the panels of judges, took part in the competition and other international contests held in Tehran simultaneously.
