TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 27th edition of “Al-Hashemi” international Quran competition in Jordan will kick off on June 15 with the participation of 39 Quran memorizers and reciters from 38 countries.


According to Al-Rai newspaper, the participants will compete in the category of memorization of the entire Quran with recitation.

The five-day contest will be held for men and five top participants will be awarded at the closing ceremony.

Mohammad Rasul Takbiri, memorizer of the entire Quran, will represent Iran in this edition of the international event.

The competition will conclude on June 20.

Last year, the 26th edition of the annual competition was held in Amman, the capital of Jordan, for Quran memorizers and reciters from 32 countries.
