TEHRAN (IQNA) – Fatemeh Nazari has been selected as the Islamic Republic of Iran’s representative in the next international Quran competition for women in Jordan, an official said.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mostafa Seifi, head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s Quranic Affairs Department, noted that Nazari was the top winner in the memorization of the entire Quran category of Iran’s national Quran contest in the women section.

Hence, he said, Ms Nazari was selected to compete for Iran in the Jordanian international Quranic event next year.

In 2019, Fatemeh Shirazi was Iran’s representative in the contest.

Quran memorizers from 35 countries attended Jordan’s 14th international Quran contest for women in March.
