TEHRAN (IQNA) – Twenty-six Malaysian Quran reciters managed to receive Ijazanama (Quran recitation permission) to recite the Holy Quran in Hafs narration.

 

According to Qaaf news agency, the Quranic certificates were given to the Qaris in a ceremony held by the Islamic Foundation of Kelantan State in cooperation with the International Association of Holy Quran and Sunnah.

Sheikh Khalid Abdulkafi, deputy secretary general of the association in educational affairs said that the Qaris received the Ijazanamas at the end of an educational Quranic course held at the Quran memorization and recitation Institute of the state in the northwest of Malaysia.

A Qari who receives Ijazanama has mastered Quran recitation rules and observe Tajweed principles in recitation of the Quran.
