TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 62nd edition of Malaysia’s annual international Quran competition will kick off on April 6.


Like previous years, the capital city of Kuala Lumpur will host the contest, which will run until April 11.

It will be organized in the categories of Quran recitation and memorization of the Quran in two sections for men and women.   

Ali Reza Bizhani will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the upcoming international event.

He will compete in the category of Quran recitation.


Malaysia Int’l Quran Contest Slated for April 6


Malaysia’s Quranic event is world’s oldest international Quran competition.

It is officially named the “International Al Quran Recital and Memorisation Assembly”.

In 2019, 107 Qaris and Quran memorizers from 71 countries took part in the contest.

Hadi Movahed Amin from Iran came fourth in the recitation category last year.
