TEHRAN (IQNA) – A senior cleric said any move that leads to strengthening the Zionist regime of Israel is Haram (religiously forbidden).

Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani made the remark in a message to a national conference titled ‘Islamic Resistance in View of Quran’.

The conference is underway in Iran’s holy city of Qom.

‘Discourse-making and method of resistance in view of the Quran’, ‘concepts, foundations and principles of Islamic resistance in view of the Quran’, ‘models of resistance in view of the Quran’, ‘achievements of resistance in view of the Quran’, and ‘challenges of resistance in view of the Quran’ are the main themes of discussion at the six-day event.

Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani condemned the recent bids by some Arab regimes to normalize ties with the Zionist regime and said it is Haram to support and boost the occupying regime in any way.

He added that the main factor in achieving victory for the resistance front is keeping up the spirit of Jihad (struggle on the path of God) and refusing to give concessions to the enemy.

The cleric also cited several verses from the Holy Quran to underline that victory belongs to the front of resistance and Jihad.
