Top Winner of Student Quran Competition Honored in Egypt

The first-rank winner of the national Quran competition for students in Egypt was honored in a ceremony on August 7 in Al-Wadi Al-Jadid Province.


According to Al-Yawm Al-Sabi’ website, Mohammad Mohammad Abdul Baghi Abul Majd, who won the first rank of the national Quran and Islamic culture competition, was awarded by Mohammad ‘Ashmawi, governor of the province.

The governor also gifted the special trophy of the governorate and honored the winner with a certificate.

Addressing the ceremony, ‘Ashmawi said that the Education Section of the province has achieved great successes this year and students of the province got the top ranks in educational and cultural activities and the national Quran competition.

He expressed hope that the successes will continue among the students and stated that such elites deserve to be honored and should be introduced as a role model to the society.

The national competition on the Holy Quran and Islamic culture was organized by the Education Ministry of Egypt.
