Iran’s representative had a laudable performance at the 4th International Holy Quran Memorization Competition in Sudan.
Hassan Zarnoushe Farahani’s outstanding performance makes him one of the likely winners of the top titles in the competition, IQNA’s ICRO branch reported, quoting the Iranian Cultural Center in Khartoum as saying.
He was the first contender to answer the jury panel’s questions on Tuesday.
Zarnoushe Farahani answered all of the questions with full mastery and received applause from the audience, especially the Iranians present at the competition hall.
He is the first contestant to have answered all of the questions accurately.
The competition began on Monday in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum with the participation of 53 Quran memorizers from various countries.
The jury panel is made up of four Quran masters from Sudan, Morocco, Jordan and Algeria with Sami Ahmed Khalid from Jordan heading the panel.
