It was held on September 28-30, 2017 which also marked the 30th anniversary of the inauguration of the biggest mosque and Islamic center in the country.
The Islamic Center’s director, Dr. Gzim Recebi, said 59 contestants from 26 countries attended the Quranic event.
Six senior Quran experts who formed the panel of judges evaluated the contestants’ performance.
The winners of different categories were awarded prizes and certificates at the closing ceremony.
It was attended by a number of senior guests from different countries.
Two Turkish brothers, Faruk Şahin and Muharrem Şahin were among the top rank winners of the contest.
