Quran Competitions Held in Kazakhstan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The cities of Almaty and Pavlodar in Kazakhstan hosted competitions on memorization, recitation and Tahqeeq reading of Quran.

 

According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Kazakhstan, the competition in Almaty was organized for girls by the Social Relations and Dissemination Section of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan in cooperation with the central mosque.

They competed on reading of Surah Yasin.

The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by a representative of the administration who in an address highlighted the virtues of reading and memorizing the Quran.

Almaty’s Central Mosque hosts Quranic courses and competitions for women every year. The courses are free and the participants also learn Arabic language.

The Quran competition in Pavlodar was jointly organized by the central mosque of the city and Mashhour Yusuf Foundation.

The Ghamar Ghasimov Culture House hosted the competition, held on memorization and recitation of the Quran.

More than 30 Quran reciters and memorizers from all over Pavlodar Province participated in the Quranic event.
