Kids Winning Quran Contests Honored in Egypt

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Quran Supporting Association in Luxor Governorate of Egypt honored 200 children who had won top ranks in Quran competitions.

 

According to akhbarelyom.com, the boys and girls were honored in a ceremony held in Esna city of the governorate.

The program was attended by national and local officials, representatives of Egypt’s Endowments Ministry and Al-Azhar Islamic Center as well as media and board of the directors of the association.

The annual ceremony was held to also honor elder Quran reciters and memorizers of the region.

Sheikh Abdul ‘Ati, the late head of the Qaris society in the south of the governorate, was also commemorated in the program.

The program included Quran recitation, Tawasheeh and Ibtihal performance and supplication recitation.
